The month of December is always hectic for retailers with Christmas and the New Year standout events in the calendar. Peak season is never a surprise, and Wincanton once again worked for some household names to ensure people didn’t go without through the festive season.

The latest figures reveal that Wincanton enjoyed the most successful peak period in over ten years.

In a single week leading up to Christmas 2018, latest figures reveal its drivers:

Wincanton services a variety of sectors around the country, and markets from Grocery and Home & DIY to Construction and Defence, meaning there is resulting in a wealth of cross-sector knowledge to pull from in peak periods. The sheer scale of the network means Wincanton can draw upon its portfolio of drivers and assets to support customers experiencing planned peak activity or provide extra capacity to cope with unforeseen upticks in activity like summer heatwaves or challenging winters.
