Wincanton, the UK’s largest logistics provider, will be exhibiting at this week’s Farnborough International Airshow.
The defence team from Wincanton will be heading to the Farnborough Aerodrome in Hampshire for the exhibition which takes place between 11 - 17 July, with the trade show taking place between the 11 - 15 July.
We chose to exhibit at the Farnborough International Airshow 2016 (FIA16) because it offers exhibitors the chance to network with a diverse range of core sectors within the aerospace industry such as space, civil, military, manufacturing technology and MRO.
Wincanton has a proven track record of supply chain delivery and transformation in all sectors including defence, working with its customers to develop strategic road maps that deliver best in class supply chain solutions.
Some of the solutions which will be discussed during the five-day trade show are:
The FIA16 will allow Wincanton to not only meet with its current customers to find continued ways of working and improving relations, but also to network with prospective customers to find out where Wincanton can add value to their operations. With over 1500 exhibitors from all over the world set to descend to Farnborough Aerodrome, the week is set to be a busy one.
The UK’s defence sector delivers products and services which protect not only our national security but that of many defence partners around the world. This sector has an annual turnover of £22 billion and exports of over £9.8 billion (2015), and also brings significant economic benefit to the UK, which in this uncertain time is only a positive.
With global defence spending forecast at an estimated £82 billion per year over the next eight years, the Farnborough International Airshow provides a real opportunity for Wincanton to demonstrate its abilities within the defence sector and show where it can add value.
