Our W2 labs programme, was launched in 2017 to encourage start-ups to pitch ideas for how digitisation can drive improvement across the supply chain. We have now launched our third programme.
Run in partnership with L Marks, the corporate innovation specialist and early-stage investor, start-ups are invited to apply to work with Wincanton across three categories.
Dark Store - Building on our market-leading expertise in-home delivery, eFulfilment and grocery logistics, we are now the first third-party logistics company to deliver groceries to customers’ homes. Our new Customer Fulfilment Centre (CFC) will support grocery retailer, Waitrose to respond to the growing customer demand for online groceries and will be carrying out 25,000 orders per week. We are keen to hear from early-stage businesses with technologies which have the potential to revolutionise modern-day fulfilment. This could include, but is not limited to, robotic automation, demand forecasting or people and process planning.
People - We employ 19,100 people who work across over 200 sites. They are the logistics heroes who keep the UK supply chains running smoothly - from factories to distribution centres, retailers, sites and homes across the country. We are looking for solutions to help our people become the best they can be, create a positive culture of recognition and make them feel truly valued, while at the same time keeping them safe at work.
Open Season - We are open to discovering what new technologies and different approaches can do for us, our people and our customers. Surprise us with ideas that you think could make a difference to Wincanton.
