Matthew Bull, said:

"It’s excellent to have won. If I was going to advise anyone thinking about attending then my advice would be to go for it, anyone can win. Competing was very nervy and intense, but I am so glad that I took part. I have really enjoyed it!"

Konrad Turski said:

"I am absolutely shocked, I didn’t expect it at all! The competition was really stiff. It is my second time competing; I entered the competition last year and it is definitely getting harder. There are so many good drivers and they’re showing great skills, so it just makes it all the more special to have been named the overall winner."

James Wroath, CEO of Wincanton, said:

"Our drivers demonstrate their incredible skills and commitment to safety out on the road every day. I think it’s important that we celebrate their commitment with the Driver of the Year event, which has been running for 16 years.

"Being able to witness their abilities up close really drives home my belief that we have the best drivers in the business.

"Having such a talented workforce is also a demonstration of the dedication and resource we put into training and developing every individual."

The Driver of the Year event is the culmination of months of hard work. The final at the Mercedes-Benz Training Centre at Wentworth Park put the nominated drivers in each category together for a series of driving skills and knowledge tests. At the end of the process, the overall winners received special praise and prize money.
