Our programmes
Supply chain graduate programme
This two year programme is both a challenging and exciting in equal measures. Rotating across different parts of our operations gives you invaluable industry experience and development opportunities. You will learn all aspects of supply chain and be involved in exciting and meaningful projects that will help you decide the best pathway for your career.
We will provide a structured learning and development programme, mentoring and coaching from experienced leaders and opportunities for you to make mistakes, learn from them and develop your skills. In return, we require you to be eager to learn, keen to progress, ambitious, confident in challenging the ‘norm’ and be willing to experience different areas of the business.

Digital & technology graduate programme
Technology is at the heart of British supply chains and innovation is at the heart of everything we do. We're looking for passionate individuals who will help Wincanton lead the way by creating, developing and operating technology and automation solutions.
This three year programme is perfect for you if you have a passion for all things digital and tech and enjoy getting stuck in. A brilliant opportunity to explore, learn and make an impact across various areas of the business in different roles as you explore multiple digital and tech specialism in your first two years; Automation and robotics, product development, IT, engineering and operations, whilst being supported by a structured learning and development programme.
During the first two years, alongside relevant job-related training, and career support, you will decide an appropriate “pathway” and undertake a relevant qualification or training before you move to your final one-year placement in that chosen field.

One year placement
We have an established one year placement programme that offers great experience and structured development. Fulfilling actual roles, you will have the opportunity to learn about the operations and work on specific projects that will support your learning goals and get you out in the real world of logistics. Many of our placement students return to Wincanton once they have completed their degree. Mentored by an experienced manager, you will be fully immersed in the workings of the business. In return, we require you to be eager to learn, keen to get ahead and willing to experience different aspects and areas of the business.

Apprenticeships & Degree Apprenticeships
Our apprenticeship programme it’s a great opportunity to kick-start your career and earn whilst you learn. Our apprenticeships last for a minimum of 12 months and one day, up to 48 months, dependent on the type and level of apprenticeship you are looking for. There is also a 20% 'off the job' requirement, which includes training, one-to-one meetings, work-based projects and external applications. Read More
Degree Apprenticeships
The best alternative to the university route, our earn as you learn programme, provides practical on the job training whilst completing a degree. Cygnets
Cygnets is our part-time work opportunity for students aged 16-18. With guaranteed minimum of 8 hours work a week on a day that suits you, you can balance your studies with part-time work. There is also the possibility of picking up extra hours during the week outside of school college hours and during the holidays.
When you finish school, your career with us doesn't have to end. Logistics is a fast-evolving industry that offers endless career opportunities.
