Wincanton defence site awarded SC21 Gold

Wincanton, the largest British logistics business, has announced its Bicester site has been awarded Gold in the Supply Chains for the 21st Century (SC21) programme.

Defence team winning SC21 Gold award

 

SC21 is a change programme designed to accelerate the competitiveness of the aerospace & defence industry by raising the performance of its supply chains, administered by ADS Group.

In order for Wincanton to achieve the Gold award the company was required to meet a sustained performance for delivery (over 99%) and quality (over 99.9%) on a rolling average for five years. The performance level of the company was assessed and signed off by the Prime customer.

With over 60 years’ experience in supporting domestic and overseas armed forces, Wincanton has considerable supply chain experience in the defence sector. As a logistics provider at the forefront of delivering innovative supply chain solutions, the company provides the industry with tailored solutions designed to best serve this complicated and intricate sector.
