Our twelve year-long contract with the National Trust goes from strength to strength upon the creation of bespoke logistics vehicles for the charity.
Due to the locations and access routes for many of the National Trust sites, vehicular access can prove to be a challenge. To better manage this, we have worked closely with the Trust to develop a suitable vehicle to fit their exact needs.
The requirement was to create a fleet of vehicles which could handle the various terrains and restricted spaces of many of the Trust’s routes, historic places and open environments.
These brand new vehicles have been made to fit the particular requirements; they are short and low bodied whilst maintaining their weight carrying ability to ensure they can withstand their transport requirements and sustain their capacity to deliver.
In addition, the vehicles have been fitted with innovative technology; a 360-degree camera to aid in manoeuvrability at the various historic sites and outdoor spaces which the National Trust manages.
We have had a long-standing contract with the UK’s National Trust which continues to flourish. This collaboration reinforces Wincanton’s commitment to taking responsibility and care for our environment and to help the National Trust with the upkeep of British history and open spaces.
Further showing this commitment, we have recently updated our environment strategy to identify an action plan designed to deliver the Group’s goal of 'a safe and sustainable environment for all.' This helps the business in delivering environmentally sustainable logistics through a focus on operational excellence and innovative product leadership.
