Fewer than 14% of the UK’s logistics professionals are female (Logistics UK). Although we know that gender should not be a barrier to any career, the perception that the supply chain industry is a ‘man’s world’ remains for some.

Our Wincanton for Roper Rhodes Transport Team is proof that gender means nothing when it comes to the supply chain. Nikki Foley, Jo Markham, Nicola Jay and Kate Emmery make up this department, managing all deliveries across the whole of the country every day on behalf of the bathroom retailer.

A successful partnership

Starting in May 2019, Wincanton introduced a dedicated UK-wide home delivery operation for Roper Rhodes, boosting customer satisfaction and generating additional value.

• 99% on-time, in-full delivery result
• 88% NPS (net promoter score)
• 47% reduction in damage to goods during transport
• 77% fall in packaging costs
