Wincanton has over 30 strategically located, shared user warehouses across the UK all offering fully flexible and cost-effective storage solutions. All our shared user sites are integrated with Wincanton’s wider supply chain infrastructure and provide a range of logistics solutions including storage, picking, co-packing and transport.
Multi-user and pay-as-you-go warehousing
Whether our customers are seeking short, medium or long-term storage – perhaps to cope with seasonal fluctuations or a rapid change in business conditions – Wincanton is able to help meet the challenge. We offer all our customers the same excellent level of service, whether the storage requirement is for 20 pallets or 2,000. We use industry leading warehouse management systems, which give our customers detailed and accurate information for their individual operation.
Financial flexibility is another driving force in our business. Our charging mechanisms are designed to suit the customer, providing pay-as-you-go storage, flexible priced per pallet or square foot. We can also provide separate pricing structures for handling and management, through to more formal open-book structures.
Pick, pack, co-pack and rework
Our local management and operational teams are experienced in managing a wide array of value-added services, including wet and dry bonded storage and duty management, co-packing, reworking, inventory management, and regional consolidation.

Warehouse management systems
To increase speed to market and minimise upfront investment, Wincanton, in conjunction with Manhattan Associates, has developed a warehouse management system (WMS) specifically for use in our shared user sites. This flexible application provides all the core functionality of a large-scale WMS including inventory management, item tracking and performance reporting, but takes away the burden and costs of a large-scale system implementation.
