Wincanton's Pullman Fleet Services launches new authorised testing facility in West Thurrock

Today (1 May) marks the opening of Pullman’s latest Authorised Testing Facility (ATF) at Motherwell Way, West Thurrock, which will offer vehicle testing six days a week to all types of commercial vehicles from light vans to tankers and heavy weight tractor units and trailers.

Pullman’s new 9-bay workshop includes dedicated petrochemical (ADR) compliant bays ideal for servicing tankers together with a government approved MOT test lane.

Jackie Doyle-Price MP, formally opening the facility, said, "I am delighted to support Pullman’s expansion of its operations in West Thurrock. This particular investment is a win win situation all around. It enables Pullman to deliver good value for money services and reduce costs to its customers. We are determined to reduce the burdens of regulation on business and by bringing testing facilities closer to the customer, Pullman is achieving exactly that."

Graham Hunter, Pullman’s managing director added, "As the UK’s largest independent commercial vehicle service and maintenance business, our objective is to keep fleets legal and safe, while always reducing vehicle downtime. With state-of-the-art workshop facilities and highly skilled technicians on site at Thurrock, we are able to provide a one stop shop for operators, reducing the amount of time and money they need to spend maintaining their vehicles."

Pullman’s new service centre at Motherwell Way will support its existing facility in London Road, West Thurrock which will continue to operate as normal.
