Wincanton's Jenna Curbishley is CILT's Young Manager of the Year 2012
"Rising star" has achieved "truly outstanding results", says UK’s leading supply chain solutions provider
One of supply chain specialist Wincanton’s rising stars, Jenna Curbishley, won the coveted "Young Manager of the Year" award at the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport’s annual Awards for Excellence last week.
The award is the latest milestone in Jenna’s history with Wincanton which has seen her go from graduate trainee to full contract manager in just five years.
During that time Nottingham Business School graduate Jenna has worked in a variety of key operational roles and across a host of Wincanton customer contracts, including Sainsbury’s, Comet, Mattel and Marks & Spencer.
In the last 12 months Jenna has made significant impacts on two of Wincanton’s fashion customers, Firetrap and Deckers. Ana Lopez, Logistics Manager for Firetrap Ltd, described Jenna as having "a steely reserve to get things done", adding: "She’s never afraid to break the mould with difficult decisions."
Paul Durkin, Wincanton’s business unit director - retail, said: "Jenna’s passion, enthusiasm and underlying commitment to always achieve her full potential marks her out as a high performer within our operational teams.
"Her track record over just five years with the company speaks for itself and she has achieved some truly outstanding results for herself, her teams and Wincanton."
Paul Durkin added: "We pride ourselves on our ability to not only spot talented people, but to also give them the opportunity to develop that talent and fulfil their potential.
"With young, talented people like Jenna rapidly rising through our ranks the future is very bright indeed."
