As one of the leading providers of container road transport services in the UK, Wincanton has the resource and expertise to meet this demand, managing customers' inbound logistics requirements effectively.

Operating from over 20 locations nationwide, with a presence at all key ports, we handle over 3,000 container movements weekly. Our customers include some of the largest shipping lines in the world, superforwarders, independent forwarders, and major retailers.

Our track record is one of delivering a market leading service, as we 'consult as well as haul'. We have considerable supply chain experience and work closely with our customers to understand and support their business in any environment, providing cost effective, reliable and innovative solutions.

Supporting our road transport service is our inland container storage terminal at Alconbury. Strategically placed on the A1/A14 junction, Alconbury services London, the Midlands and east coast ports, supporting customers with requirements for short, medium and long term storage of ISO containers. The terminal offers receipt, storage and despatch services and gives customers real-time stock visibility for 100% location accuracy and fast retrieval. In January 2008, Alconbury won the 'Special Services' category at the BIFA Freight Service Awards for its ability to deliver tangible cost-saving benefits and efficiencies to customers.
