Chief Executive
Eric was appointed an Executive Director in October 2010 and subsequently became Chief Executive of Wincanton in December 2010. He joined the business as Chief Operating Officer in April 2009 from Gategroup, where he was Group SVP and President West/South Europe. Prior to that, Eric had various senior roles in the retail industry including Managing Director of Frimago AG in Switzerland and Managing Director of Office World in the UK. Eric is also a non-executive Director of John Menzies plc.
Group Finance Director
Adrian was formerly Finance Director with Psion plc, an international technology business, through to its acquisition by Motorola Solutions, Inc. in October 2012. Prior to joining Psion, Adrian was Chief Financial Officer of London City Airport and before that Financial Controller and Head of Investor Relations at QinetiQ Group plc.
Information Services Director
Simon joined Wincanton in 2008 as an IT Programme Director and became Group Information Services Director in July 2010. Prior to joining Wincanton he worked in consulting roles for fashion retailer Gap as European CIO and Programme Director and was previously Group CIO and Operations Improvement Director at MFI Group. Simon started his career with Safeway and has an MBA from Roffey Park Management Institute.
Managing Director, Specialist Businesses
Ian joined Wincanton following the acquisition of Hanbury Davies in 2008, having spent his entire career within logistics with businesses including Securicor Omega Logistics, Russell Davies and Canadian Pacific. He has considerable experience building and organically growing businesses in both the public and private sectors, and a strong track record in mergers and acquisitions. Ian has responsibility for our Container Logistics, Pullman Fleet Services and Wincanton Records Management (WRM) businesses.
HR Director
Julie joined Wincanton in February 2011 as HR Director, Manufacturing, and shortly afterwards was appointed HR Director, UK & Ireland. She was promoted to Human Resources Director for Wincanton plc in February 2012 with responsibility for HR activity across the Group, both at a strategic and operational level. Prior to joining Wincanton, Julie worked for Royal Mail as Director HR Operations and previously held senior HR positions with InBev and Sainsburys.
Industrial and Manufacturing Director – Contract Logistics Division
Chris joined Wincanton in 1997 after 10 years at the BOC Group. At Wincanton he has worked at Director level supporting customers across a range of sectors from FMCG to Defence and Manufacturing to Retail. He launched the highly successful shared user warehouse offering, has led the development of collaborative and partnership business models and overseen the expansion of the defence and construction sectors.
Retail Director – Contract Logistics Division
Liam joined Wincanton in October 2006 with responsibility for the B&Q, Argos and Sainsbury’s contracts. After becoming Operations Director of the Manufacturing business, he was then appointed Operations Director of Retail in April 2011, with responsibility for contract logistics and transport operations across the retail portfolio. Prior to joining Wincanton, Liam worked for DHL Exel, Tesco and Christian Salveson.
